The Role
We’re seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager / Consultant to spearhead our growth initiatives and expand our client base. In this crucial role, you’ll be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing and maintaining key client relationships, and collaborating with our technical teams to create tailored solutions that address our clients’ needs in understanding and adapting to the AI-driven economy.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities for BreatheHuman’s consulting services and AI-powered solutions
- Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our market presence
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
- Collaborate closely with our AI research, data science, and content teams to understand our capabilities and create customized proposals
- Lead the end-to-end sales process, from initial client contact to proposal development and contract negotiation
- Conduct needs assessments with potential clients to understand their challenges related to AI’s economic impact
- Create compelling presentations and conduct product demonstrations to showcase BreatheHuman’s value proposition
- Provide consultative guidance to clients on how to leverage our insights and tools to navigate the changing economic landscape
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in the AI and economics space
- Contribute to the development of our service offerings and pricing strategies
- Represent BreatheHuman at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities
- Prepare regular reports on sales activities, pipeline, and revenue forecasts
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or consulting, preferably in the AI, technology, or professional services sectors
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and building a strong client base
- Excellent understanding of AI technologies and their business applications, particularly in relation to economic impact
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage C-level executives
- Experience in consultative selling and solution-based approaches
- Proficiency in CRM systems and sales management tools
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field
- Experience in economic consulting or working with economic research and data
- Knowledge of data analytics, machine learning, or AI implementation projects
- Familiarity with the startup ecosystem and experience working in fast-paced, innovative environments
- International business development experience
- Proficiency in multiple languages
- Experience with account-based marketing strategies
